happy holidays

over the holidays, my grandparents came to visit, which means halmuni, or grandmother, gets busy in the kitchen making some real 'seoul' food.  her visit also usually includes her sewing or knitting me something on whim (usually per my request), and as a child, i used to just watch her as she went to work on her projects.  i think i will forever be someone who is limited to knitting just scarves or sewing with basic patterns.  so, the good news is that my craft projects on this blog should be at beginner level.

here's a photo of my new slippers knitted by halmuni.  i laughed at first because they're pointy like elf shoes, but at least they are a lot easier to put on and throw in the washer!
